Built for South African conditions, QXI is a Japanese-engineered outdoor detector using advanced digital SMDA technology and double conductive shielding for superior performance and fewer false alarms. Whether mounted high to reduce tampering or low for pet-friendly zones, QXI delivers versatile coverage and sleek design. Offering both PIR and dual-technology options, and with a wide 120° field and 12m (40ft) range, it's ideal for both residential and commercial use. It’s the perfect upgrade for a complete early detection system —modern, reliable, and purpose-built for the outdoors. QXI can trigger alarm panels or CCTV systems for complete protection.
Selectable mounting height
The QXI outdoor intrusion sensors can be installed at a high mount between 2.2 and 2.7m creating a multi-level volumetric detection pattern, allowing it to ignore small animals. In environments with larger animals, the sensor can be mounted between 0.8 and 1.2m height, to provide a pet alley.
Detection analysis to filter out false alarms
The QXI outdoor intruder sensors are designed to be not affected by environment or small animals. The alarm will not be triggered by changes of weather, vegetation sways or pets in the detection area, contributing to reliable outdoor detection. Additionally the series features double conductive shielding which filters out visible light and RFI disturbance.
Sleek design & easy installation
The dimensions of the sensor and finish of the shielding have been designed to make the sensor easy to blend in any residential or small commercial building. Also with the customer in mind the sensor features a screwless design making the opening and closing of the front cover very easy.
