OPTEX 862-01-WXI-R Outdoor Wireless 180° PIR Detector (Xwave1)
The OPTEX 862-01-WXI-R is a professional outdoor wireless PIR detector designed for wide-angle perimeter protection around homes, businesses, garages, gardens, driveways, boundary walls and building entrances. With its 180° detection coverage and up to 12m detection range, it provides reliable outdoor intrusion detection across large open areas from a low-mount position.
Part of the OPTEX WXI/WXS outdoor detection range, the WXI-R features independent left and right detection areas, allowing each side to be adjusted separately according to the site layout. This makes it ideal for installations where one side may face a driveway, garden path, gate or wall, while the other side needs a different detection distance or sensitivity setting.
The detector uses advanced SMDA logic to analyse environmental changes and reduce nuisance alarms caused by moving vegetation, temperature changes and outdoor interference. Its AND logic detection helps improve stability by requiring movement confirmation across detection zones before triggering an alarm.
Built for outdoor environments, the WXI-R includes IP55 weather-resistant protection, double conductive shielding and a secure housing design. Its wireless battery-operated format makes it suitable for installations where cabling is difficult or where a clean, flexible setup is preferred.
