OPTEX 862-01-BXS-ST BXS Shield Wired Outdoor Detector
The OPTEX 862-01-BXS-ST is a professional wired outdoor curtain PIR detector designed for reliable perimeter protection along the immediate boundary of a property. Part of the OPTEX BX Shield series, it provides up to 24m total detection coverage, with 12m detection on the left side and 12m detection on the right side, making it ideal for protecting walls, windows, driveways, courtyards, building approaches and outdoor passageways.
The BXS-ST uses four PIR sensors, with two sensors on each side, to deliver stable detection across both left and right zones. Each side can be adjusted independently, allowing installers to customise the detection range and sensitivity according to the layout of the site. This makes it highly effective for properties where one side may need shorter detection while the other requires full-range coverage.
Advanced SMDA logic helps reduce nuisance alarms caused by environmental changes such as moving vegetation, temperature shifts and outdoor interference. The detector also includes extreme high detection mode, which improves detection performance in difficult conditions where the temperature difference between a person and the background is low.
Built for outdoor use, the BXS-ST features IP55 weather resistance, double conductive shielding, tamper protection and a secure, modern housing. As a hardwired detector, it is ideal for professional alarm installations requiring dependable, long-term outdoor performance.
