The AJAX Button Black is a compact wireless smart button designed for fast emergency signalling and convenient control of Ajax security and automation systems. It can be used as a panic button to instantly alert users and monitoring services in an emergency, or as a control button to activate automation scenarios such as switching lights, opening gates, controlling appliances, or triggering compatible Ajax devices.
In panic mode, the Button can be configured for different event types, including intrusion, fire, medical assistance, gas alarm, leakage, malfunction, panic, or a custom event. This allows the system to send the correct alert type and provide a more accurate response during an emergency.
Using Ajax Jeweller wireless communication, the Button provides secure, encrypted transmission with reliable long-range performance of up to 1,300 metres in open space. It also includes protection against accidental pressing, allowing activation by double press or long press depending on the system configuration.
