The IDS X64 8 Zone Smart Expander 860-06-700 is a bus-connected expansion module designed for IDS X-Series alarm systems, especially the IDS X64. It allows installers to add additional hardwired alarm zones to larger security systems, making it ideal for homes, offices, retail stores, warehouses, complexes, and commercial alarm installations.
This smart expander provides 8 wired end-of-line supervised zone inputs and supports expansion of the IDS X64 system from zones 17 to 64. Up to 6 smart bus expander modules can be used per system, giving installers a flexible way to build larger alarm installations with more PIRs, door contacts, beams, panic buttons, and other wired detection devices.
The 860-06-700 also includes power supervision inputs, allowing the system to monitor important power conditions such as AC fail, low battery, and auxiliary fuse failure when used with the appropriate IDS smart power supply. It also features 2 onboard programmable outputs and optional double end-of-line zone supervision for enhanced tamper monitoring.
